The City of Maple Grove has made arrangements with Jefferson Lines (JL) to provide an “intercity” bus stop within the City.  Effective November 30, 2011, the intercity bus stop location is being moved from Parkway Transit Station located at 9870 Maple Grove Parkway to the Maple Grove Transit Station located in downtown Maple Grove at 12350 Main Street North.

Jefferson Lines provides “intercity” coach services to and from rural communities.  Intercity bus service is defined as regularly scheduled bus service for the general public which operates with limited stops over fixed routes connecting two or more urban areas not in close proximity, which has the capacity for transporting baggage carried by passengers and which makes meaningful connections with scheduled intercity bus service to more distant points, if such service is available.

Jefferson Lines provides westbound route stops in Maple Grove at 8:20 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 8:35 p.m. The eastbound route stops would are at 10:25 a.m., 3:55 p.m., and 6:35 p.m. These stops times are approximate and subject to change. You must purchase a bus fare ticket through Jefferson Lines in advance of making your trip.  Maple Grove Transit nor the City of Maple Grove sells Jefferson Lines bus fare tickets.

Please note that the Maple Grove Transit Station is an unstaffed location. The Main lobby is only open from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, the main stairwell/elevator lobby is open 24 hours 7 days a week. No overnight parking is allowed.
