To register at the polling place on election day, you must have authorized proof of residence:

A valid Minnesota Driver's License, Learner's Permit, Minnesota Identification card, or receipt for any of these with current name and address located in precinct

A voter registered in the same precinct as you who can confirm your address with a signed oath

A valid registration in the same precinct under a different name or address

A notice of late registration sent to you by the county auditor

A Tribal ID card that contains the name, address, signature, and picture of the individual

A valid student ID card including a photo, if your college has provided a student housing list to election officials

An employee of a residential facility where you live who can confirm your address with a signed oath
Voters may register with an alternative proof of residence using a combination of one approved photo ID (from column 1) and one approved utility bill (from column 2), listed below.

Approved photo IDs must contain voter's current name and photo. It may contain voter's old address or have no address.

Acceptable bills must show voter's current name and address in the precinct.
1. Utility bill (due within 30 days of the election day)
2. Rent statement dated within 30 days of the election day that itemizes utilities
3. Current student fee statement
