The filing period is August 3 through August 17 at 5:00 p.m.  The following elective offices will appear on the November 2, 2010, General Election ballot:

Mayor

Term:               4 years

Filing Fee:       $5.00

Councilmember (two positions open)

Term:               4 years

Filing Fee:       $5.00

Eligibility to hold office:  To file for office, an individual must meet the following requirements:

●   Candidate must be an eligible voter

●   Is, or will be on assuming office, 21 years of age or more

●  Maintained residence in the district wherein he resides thirty days previous to the election

Where to File:            Candidates for Maple Grove City Council offices file with the

                                   Deputy Clerk, 12800 Arbor Lakes Parkway

Items to be filed:        Affidavit of Candidacy, Filing Fee, and Statement of Economic Interest

Campaign Reporting and Financial Disclosures Information:  A packet on campaign and financial disclosure reporting requirements will be given to each candidate at the time of filing.
