| How to Recycle |
The way in which the recycling industry processes the material has changed so you no longer have to separate your recyclable items. All can go in the single sort recycling container.
Here's how the system works:
Containers
Place all your cans, glass bottles, and plastic containers and household packaging that are labeled #1 through #7 in your single sort recycling container.
Look for the 3 chasing arrows recycling symbol on the bottom of most plastic containers. Plastic containers with a number 1 through 7 can be placed in the container.
Consolidate all plastic bags into 1 or 2 plastic bags prior to disposal.
Paper Products

Place all of your paper (junk mail, newspapers, magazines, phone books, books, cereal boxes, cake boxes, catalogs, etc.) in the single sort recycling container.
Juice boxes and other paper cartons, such as 1/2 gallon milk cartons, can also be placed in the single sort container.
Cardboard

Flatten your corrugated cardboard and place in your single sort recycling container.
