Last year Maple Grove placed 4th in the Nation for our National Night Out campaign. We are hoping to rank even higher this year and we need your help to do it. National Night Out is a great time to have fun and fight crime. Getting to know your neighbors is an important tool in reducing crime in Maple Grove. By paying attention to the people and things in your surroundings you are more capable of picking out what doesn’t belong. Suspicious activity will stand out and you can relay that information to the police by calling 911. The more you know about your neighborhood the more you can do to keep it safe.
I want to encourage you to have a National Night Out neighborhood celebration on Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Please complete the Registration Form and return it to the Maple Grove Police Department as soon as possible. If needed you may also complete the Barricade Request Form.
Once we receive your Registration Form we will contact you, preferably through email, and make arrangements for you to receive your official party planning packet in July.
It is active and concerned citizens like you that help keep Maple Grove safe. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a great summer and we hope to celebrate with your neighborhood on Tuesday, August 2, 2011!
If you have any questions regarding National Night Out feel free to contact me.
