Emergency response to fires, rescue incidents, and hazmat issues are provided by 90 paid-on-call firefighters from five strategically located fire stations. The administrative offices of the full time staff are located at the Government Center, 12800 Arbor Lakes Parkway.  Response time to incidents on a citywide basis is less than ten minutes. The Fire-Rescue Department is always accepting applications for paid-on-call positions from city residents.
