Fourth Grade Fire Prevention Poster Contest

Each October the Maple Grove Fire Rescue Department invites all 4th graders to participate in a fire safety poster contest. The contest is sponsored by the participating fire departments of the North Suburban Regional Mutual Aid Association. The poster theme needs to include a fire safety message. The poster theme needs to include a fire safety message.
A trophy is awarded to the first, second and third place winners at each school. A grand prize winner is also chosen and awarded a traveling trophy which the school displays for one year. The trophy has the winner's name and school on it and is kept at the school for one year. The Grand Prize winner, their parents, and teacher are also invited to a recognition program held in November. Grand prize posters are forwarded to the MN State Fire Chiefs Association for a chance to win at the state level with the winners published in the MN Fire Chief magazine.
